About Me..

I’m Valerie Karen — a maternal wellness guide, certified hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner, writer, and graduate student in mental health counseling, dedicated to helping overwhelmed mothers regulate their nervous systems, reduce emotional overload, and feel supported in the real moments of motherhood.

I’m a mom of two, and my work is deeply shaped by both professional training and lived experience. I understand what it feels like to love your children fiercely while also feeling overstimulated, exhausted, or weighed down by guilt when patience runs thin.

My approach blends certified hypnotherapy with a focus on emotional and behavioral regulation, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) for mindset and pattern awareness, graduate-level training in mental health counseling and behavior change, years of wellness writing and education, and real-life motherhood experience navigating stress, burnout, and identity shifts.

I’m also the author of Beauty in the Breaks, where I explore growth, healing, and transformation through life’s most challenging seasons. Writing has always been a central part of how I help women process, soften, and reconnect with themselves.

I don’t believe mothers need fixing. I believe mothers need support, safety, and tools that actually work in real life.

The resources I create — calming audios, scripts, and emotional reset guides — are designed to meet you in the moment you’re in: when you’re overwhelmed, short on time, and craving relief without judgment.

My work is mental-health-informed, ethically grounded, and educational in nature. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. The tools I offer are designed to support emotional wellness and nervous system regulation and are shaped by my ongoing graduate training in counseling.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like you’re carrying too much on your own, you’re not failing — you’re human.

I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you feel calmer, more grounded, and more like yourself again — one gentle reset at a time..

WHY WORK WITH ME

If you feel like you’re constantly holding it together — but one small thing can push you over the edge — you’re not alone.

If you’re tired all the time but can’t seem to rest,
if your patience is thinner than it used to be,
if you’re snapping, shutting down, or feeling guilty for how you react…

This isn’t because you’re failing.
It’s because your body and mind are overwhelmed — and no one ever taught you how to calm them from the inside out.

Most women I work with are doing everything they can. They love their families. They’re trying to be patient, present, and “better.” But when stress hits, emotions take over before they can stop themselves.

That’s where my work helps.

WHAT I ACTUALLY HELP YOU WITH

I help women calm the part of themselves that goes into overdrive — the part that reacts before you can think.

Instead of telling you to “just relax,” “be more patient,” or “try harder,” I work with you in ways that help your body and mind feel safer, steadier, and less reactive over time.

Through hypnotherapy, guided calming tools, and one-on-one support, we focus on:

  • helping you feel calmer in the moment

  • slowing down racing thoughts

  • reducing emotional blow-ups or shutdowns

  • responding instead of reacting

  • feeling more like yourself again

This isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about helping your system stop living in constant stress mode.

HOW THIS WORK IS DIFFERENT

This isn’t talk-only support.
Talking helps you understand what’s happening. This work helps you feel different — especially in the moments that matter most.

It works in real life.
The tools I offer are designed for the middle of a hard day, a long night, or a moment when everything feels like too much — not just when you’re calm and thinking clearly.

You’re supported, not judged.
There’s no pressure to show up perfectly or have it all figured out. We work together at a pace that feels doable and supportive.

WHO THIS SUPPORT IS FOR

This work is for women and moms who:

  • feel overwhelmed, irritable, or emotionally drained

  • struggle with patience, overstimulation, or guilt

  • feel stuck in the same emotional cycles

  • want support that actually helps in the moment

  • are tired of feeling like they’re just barely getting through the day

You don’t need to hit rock bottom to deserve help.
You just need support that understands real life.

YOUR NEXT STEP

If reading this made you feel seen — trust that.

You don’t need the right words.
You don’t need to understand all the psychology behind it.

You just need support that helps you feel calmer, steadier, and more capable in your day-to-day life.

Book a free discovery call, and we’ll talk through what’s going on and what kind of support would help you most right now — with no pressure and no judgment.

You don’t have to carry this alone anymore.

WHEN YOU’RE DOING EVERYTHING YOU CAN — AND STILL FEEL OVERWHELMED

If your mind won’t shut off, your body feels tense no matter how hard you try to relax, and emotions seem to hijack you before you can think — this isn’t a discipline problem.

It’s your nervous system.

Most women I work with are capable, insightful, and already trying their best. They know what should help. But when stress spikes, kids melt down, or anxiety takes over, logic disappears.

That’s because real change doesn’t happen in the thinking mind alone.
It happens at the level where your body reacts first.

THIS IS HOW I HELP

As a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner with mental-health training, my work focuses on calming the nervous system and changing subconscious patterns that drive overwhelm, anxiety, and emotional reactivity.

Some support needs to be immediate.
Some work needs to be deeper and guided.

That’s why I offer both.

IN-THE-MOMENT CALMING BUNDLES

Instant support for when things feel hard right now

These bundles are digital calming kits you can download and use immediately — no appointment, no waiting.

Each bundle includes guided scripts and audio recordings in my voice designed to help you:

  • calm your nervous system in the moment

  • slow racing thoughts

  • ground your body during overwhelm or anxiety

  • respond instead of react

  • get through hard moments with more steadiness

They’re created for real life:
• the middle of a stressful day
• the moment you feel emotionally flooded
• before bed when your mind won’t stop
• during parenting or relational overwhelm

These are affordable, accessible tools you can return to again and again — whenever you need them.

Best if you’re thinking:
“I just need something that helps me right now.”

ONE-ON-ONE PRIVATE VIRTUAL SESSIONS

Deeper support to change what keeps happening

Sometimes tools aren’t enough — because the same patterns keep repeating.

Private virtual hypnotherapy sessions offer personalized, one-on-one support to address the underlying subconscious and nervous-system patterns driving your stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm.

These sessions are designed to help you:

  • reduce how often overwhelm takes over

  • change automatic emotional responses

  • feel calmer and more regulated over time

  • build lasting inner stability

Sessions are private, virtual, and offered at a clear, flat rate.

Best if you’re thinking:
“I’m ready to work on what’s underneath this.”

HOW PEOPLE USUALLY START

Many clients begin with a calming bundle for immediate relief — and later choose a private session when they’re ready for deeper work.

You don’t have to do everything at once.
You just have to start where you are.

NEXT STEP

If you want instant support you can use today, explore the calming bundles.
If you want guided, personalized support, book a one-on-one session.

And if you’re unsure, book a free discovery call — we’ll talk it through calmly and honestly.

You don’t need fixing.
You need support that actually works when life happens.

Still have questions? That’s okay — support should feel safe and clear before you begin..

Do I need to understand hypnotherapy for this to work?

No. You don’t need to understand how it works — you just need to be open to support. Hypnotherapy in my work is calm, gentle, and focused. You’re always aware, in control, and able to stop or ask questions at any time.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Yes. This is not stage hypnosis or losing control. It’s a relaxed, focused state that helps your mind and body settle so change can happen more naturally. You remain fully aware and in charge the entire time.

What if I’m overwhelmed and just need help right now?

That’s exactly why I offer digital calming bundles. These are instant downloads with guided scripts and recordings you can use in the moment — no appointment, no waiting. Many clients start here for immediate relief.

What’s the difference between a calming bundle and a private session?

Calming bundles are self-guided tools you can use anytime you need support.
Private sessions are one-on-one, live support where we work together on deeper patterns and ongoing challenges.

Both are helpful — it just depends on what you need right now.

Do I need to commit to long-term sessions?

No. You can start with a single session, a calming bundle, or a discovery call. There’s no pressure to commit to anything beyond what feels right for you.

I’m not in crisis — is this still for me?

Yes. You don’t need to be at a breaking point to get support. Many women come to this work because they’re tired of constantly pushing through and want to feel calmer and more steady in daily life.

What if I’m not sure where to start?

That’s very common. You can book a free discovery call and we’ll talk through what’s going on and decide together what kind of support would be most helpful — with no pressure and no judgment.
